After a slight delay Spencer and Melissa are back and ready to talk about Persona as well as Catherine. New Ways To Connect To You!

The Persona Podcast is ever expanding as we gain in popular (thanks to all of you)! We now have a tumblr which you can find here. The tumblr is run by the always helpful Melissa and she will be updating it as regularly as she can. She will post news a bit, but the majority will be funny Persona related picture and videos. So be sure to follow it and let us know what you think!

We also now have a Facebook group and this is so you can communicate with us better than ever. We will update it with news about the show and you can share anything you want other listeners to know. This will be a better way for us to get to know what you all are into. So feel free to join and start conversations with everyone in the group. You can find the group here.

Like I said before, we could not be where we are without you, the listeners. So thanks for all the support and don't forget to share us with all of your friends.

We spend a lot of time talking about some spoiler free thoughts on P4A as well as all the new P4G news that has been released. This week Melissa comes back, but sadly no Lauren since she was busy in the velvet room. So this means Will and Spencer will fill out the rest of the show with Melissa.

We are proud to announce The Persona Podcast's 1st event The P4A Fight Club! We are in the early stages of planning, but this will entail everyone on the podcast playing P4A on PSN with the listeners. We will meet up every week or so and make a lobby as we can all play the game, talk some smack, and have fun. If we get enough people we can even have a leader board to see who is the best among the podcast listeners.

Just wanted to give you all a little update on whats been going on with the Persona Podcast and Persona 4 Arena.

First off is New Game Podcast Season 2 Episode 1-Stupid Fish

This is a podcast I do for all the fans over at GU who participate with NGP! This season we cover our playthrough of Valkyria Chronicles and the other forum members join us here. In this podcast Spencer, Will, Dollow, and Hunter are your host. We also talk about GamesCom in the absolutely MASSIVE bloopers section. I hope you all enjoy this side show and let me know what you think.

Lastly I want to take a moment and talk about P4A DLC for any of you who are not sure what to think of it.

Lets talk color pallet DLC

 The Colors Pallet DLC for P4A is totally worth it if you just want more options in your character. This gives you 8 new colors and 2 can only be used offline. For  $5.99 this is not a bad price for all the character at all. I would highly recommend any BlazBlue or Guilty Gear fans get this as well.

Next up is Glasses

The glasses pack is a bit of a tricky sell since at 1st you may not notice them. The main use of the glasses is in a match when a drawing of your character appears and you see them. This is total fan service and since I am a fan I didn't mind the $5.99 price at all. As a side note you also get the different colors for the glasses after purchasing the color pallet DLC.

Finally Navigators 

I will be short about this by saying that if you can not wait to unlock a certain characters voice in the game go ahead and buy it for $2.99 a voice. I personally will unlock them all in the game so I saw no need to buy these.

Before I go if you are having any trouble clearing your characters #30 challenge there is now free DLC showing off a demonstration for them. This is a nice little way of showing you different way to clear these almost hellish challenges.

I hope you all are enjoying P4A as much as me and don't worry news about Episode  3 will be coming out soon after this weekend.

Sorry the blog has been sort of quiet lately, my day job has been doing its best to work me to death. I won't let that me from writing about what I love and that is playing games with friends. So what better way to celebrate that then voting for season 4 of New Game Plus on gamingunion.net. What is New Game Plus you ask? Well here is a wonderful description of it by the Community Manager of GU Chloe:

"New Game Plus is similar to a bookclub, but instead of reading books each week community members are given a set checkpoint in an ongoing game which they have to reach before the end of 7 days. While all playing the same part of the same game, Unionites gather to discuss what we're loving and hating about the game, how funny the dialogue is, or how remarkably brilliant the game design was. All conversation is valid and in face encouraged! The only requisite of the feature is that everyone is playing the same section at the same time and join in the conversation! There's no plus to just playing on your own!"

 The past 3 seasons of NGP have seen many different types of games. Season 1 had everyone sneaking back into Metal Gear Solid, Season 2 summoned everyone back to Final Fantasy, and Season 3 saw everyone hiking their way through Tomb Raider Legend.

Season 4 is about to begin, but first we need to pick a game. This Seasons games the community has suggested to play the most are

Persona News Round-up 7/25/2012 Edition

Atlus has announced on their game blog that a Persona 4 Arena manga will be coming out August 7, 2012. The manga will make its debut in the 10th issue of the Persona magazine in Japan. The manga will be illustrated by Aiya Kyu from Code Age and Antimagia. The story of the manga will follow the games story closely, but Atlus says it will differ slightly. The manga will focus on making an impact and building tension in the story.

Lets hope that doesn't mean there will be less bear puns in the manga. The Persona series is not new when it comes to manga adaptations. Sadly, no English manga publishers have put any of the Persona mangas that have been released so far. As an avid fan of manga for many years I have always hoped that they would come out, but nothing yet. I still hold out hope that they will be released. Do you have any interest in the Persona 4 Manga?

-Basic info for Link 1-Mother of Personas...

The Persona series seems to just keep growing larger and larger with every release. So we thought it was about time for there to be a Persona Podcast. The Persona Podcast is hosted by Spencer, Melissa, Lauren, and Will.

This Episode we focus on who we are and what Persona means to us. After that we give a "brief" history of the Persona games released in the west. Next, go over our "Evoker of the Week" and then go over some questions written in to us.
